Hi everyone, I am popping by today to share a layout I created for a class this month at The Scrap Cottage using the stunning new collection Delight by Prima as well as the new 12x12 Burlap panels.
The Burlap panels make for a fantastic background, I have added some extra interest to the background by masking a doily with Liquitex modeling paste and splattering some white Mister Huey's Mist

I have also used the Delight collection flowers, tag me tags and tickets and journal cards, Prima trim and Cottage Cutz bella leafy branch die

Thanks for stopping by I hope you enjoy your weekend

Cherish Layout *Kit at The Scrap Cottage*

Good Evening Scrappy people I hope you are all finding plenty of time to create :)

The Scrap Cottage took part in the Crows Nest In Studio Art Trail this month where artist from all around the area opened up their studios to share their works of art.

We had a lovely display of scrapbooking and mixed media work, here is a layout I created as a kit for the art trail.

I have used the Prima Divine collection to create this simple but pretty layout.
I have mostly used the A4 paper pad, as you don't need a lot of 12 x 12 papers to create a layout.
There are a few kits left over from the Art Trail you can find them here if you are interested.

Mixed Media Collage Canvas

Hi There, I have popped by today to share a Finnabair inspired Mixed Media Collage 8x10 Canvas

I have used lots of Prima trinkets, along with other bits of junk I had laying around. The background was made with torn strips of muslin fabric and then I have used Luminatre Silks and black and white gesso to give the effects with colour.

My eldest daughter (in the photo) is not much of a girly girl she loves all things grungy so this style canvas was perfect for her photo.

Technique Mixed Media Journal *Class at The Scrap Cottage*

Hello... I am here today to share a Mixed Media Photo Journal that was created for a technique class at The Scrap Cottage, I made this journal back in April this year as a fortnightly class demonstrating different techniques throughout the pages. The ladies who attended this class loved it and took the techniques and began to incorporate them into their layouts.
(I used the Prima Mixed Media Journal, Fairy Rhymes collection, flowers and trinkets.)

Happy Birthday Mum and CHA

Hello again,

So I have been in the US for the past 3 weeks, which has been totally amazing. One of my darling daughters and I headed over to Las Vegas for 3 days to go to CHA  and then we traveled down to Arizona to spend some time with my Mum as she is turning 50 this year. So far we have had a blast, we still have 2 weeks here and are heading to LA to go to Disney Land before we come home.

Here are a few photos of the trip so far along with a Vintage Dress Form I made for my Mum as part of her Birthday prezzie

You are my Sunshine.... *Class at The Scrap Cottage*

Hi there Scrappy people,

I am here today to share a layout I designed for The Scrap Cottage

I created this vintage inspired layout of my eldest daughter when she was little (and my only sunshine). I have used the very sweet Bo Bunny Prairie Chic collection and incorporated tea saints and ink splatters to add texture and interest to the background and finished it off with a stunning Twiddleybitz chippy frame, The Scrap Cottage pick n mix flowers and a cute little Prima resin bird

Glad you popped by, hope to see you again soon
