'Delight' Layout

Hey there!!
Happy Friday, I hope you all have an amazing weekend planned.
I am here today to share a simple but beautiful layout I created using the gorgeous Blue Fern Studios Ombre Dreams Collection, these papers are truly amazing they are so thick and perfect for mixed media.

I just love this photo of my youngest daughter taken at our family photo shoot last year. I couldn't help but blow it up and make it the real feature of this layout.

Precious Moments Canvas Suitcase and Mini Album

Hi There Guys,
I am super excited to share this project with you today.... I had an absolute blast making it...
I created this little 8x10 canvas suitcase from 3 narrow frame canvases (cutting the canvas out of one). The mini is made from paper bags it consists of 4 pages and it fits perfectly inside the suitcase.
I have added magnets to the back of the album and the base of the suitcase to stop the album from moving around inside.

I have embossed the chipboard words using 3 colours to achieve a vintage metal look.

Although hard to see I have added texture to the front of the suitcase and mini using matte gel medium
Both the album and the suitcase have a chain of hanging trinkets

The handle on the suitcase was made with a piece of medium weight chipboard covered with patterned paper and attached using Tim Holtz small hinges.

Materials used: Prima Something Blue collection, Trinkets, Crochet Icons, Trim, Mask and Flowers, Tim Holtz Trinkets, Imaginarium Designs Chipy, Scrap FX Chippy, Zing Embossing Powder, Seam Binding Ribbon Liquitex Gel Medium and TSC Trinkets

Stunning Bouquet

Good evening Scrappy People,

Not exactly scrapbooking but I thought I would share anyway....

A dear friend of mine was renewing their marriage vows after being happily married for 30 years, and I offered to make her bouquet.
I was inspired by the things she loves and the wedding location to make this shabby chic beach themed bouquet.
This bouquet really took some work but it was so worth it.
All the flowers are completely handmade with real shells and vintage style brooches to give it that real shabby chic look.

The burlap roses were made using Prima's Burlap sheets, the carnations were made with torn strips of chiffon and the teal roses were made with satin ribbon. I had some tiny shells in my stash and these fitted in perfectly with a few pearls here and there.

I hope I have inspired you to try something a little different

Happy scrapping

Mixed Media Canvas *Class at The Scrap Cottage*

Hi again
I am here to share another class I have created for The Scrap Cottage, this time I have made a mixed media canvas with a feminine or masculine version to choose from. I really do love getting messy with mixed media and these canvases were so much fun to create :)

For the masculine version I have used a Graphic 45 Steampunk Spells paper layered with tissue paper, Liquitex sand medium mixed with black gesso, Prima stencil and trinkets, Twiddleybitz chippy cogs, Stampendous embossing powder, Tim Holtz tiny gears and distress paint along with Kaisercraft blooms.

and for the feminine version a Prima Fairy Rhymes paper layered with tissue paper, Liquitex modeling paste, Prima stencil and trinkets, Twiddleybitz chippy cogs, Stampendous embossing powder, Tim Holtz tiny gears, gesso and Kaisercraft blooms.

The Possibilities are Endless

Hi all,
I have popped in today to share a layout with you.
I was inspired by Frank Garcia to create this paper burst layout.... The effect this gives is stunning and the My Mind's Eye Find Your Wings and Fly collection along with beautiful Prima flowers take this layout to another level. Not my normal style there is not a drop of mixed media in it, but when I look at it I am so in love with the way it frames the stunning photo of my youngest daughter.

hope to see you again soon

Music.....

Hi there everyone,
My all time favorite way to be creative is by altering items...So I am here to share my latest altered project

I love music and I love guitars but I can not play. So having a guitar sitting in the cupboard seemed pointless, This inspired me to do something with it and create an altered project to show my love of both music and scrapping. Mind you I did have to fight my baby bro for it but of course I won.... or maybe he just loves me.

I have used Prima's Lyric collection which I thought was very fitting  for this project.
(Tip: When creating an altered project of this size it is best to choose papers that have a continuous pattern for ease in making seamless joins between them.)
There are lots of beautiful Prima flowers and trinkets on this guitar along with Maya Road burlap pennants, seam binding ribbon, Out There Chippy and TSC trinkets

I hope this inspires you to find an item that's just a little bit different and alter it
Happy Scrappin
