A Mother's Love

Good Evening Everyone,

Tonight I wanted to share with you my most recent altered project.
Here I have altered 3 embroidery hoops to create a wall hanging of my 3 beautiful girls
I just love how this turned out.

Materials used: Embroidery hoops (10in, 8in and 6in), Prima burlap panels, mask, flowers, resin and Princess collection papers (photo mats) , Tattered Angels glimmer mist, Heidi Swapp color shine, Liquitex modeling paste, Stampendous shabby embossing enamel, Twiddleybitz chippy, Dusty Attic chippy, gesso, teal paint and Cottage Cutz bella leafy branch die

Some close ups

Tip: when layering hoops I have backed each one with medium weight chipboard and have stacked small squares of cardboard box to be glued under the hoops to add stability. see below

Stunning Bouquet

Good evening Scrappy People,

Not exactly scrapbooking but I thought I would share anyway....

A dear friend of mine was renewing their marriage vows after being happily married for 30 years, and I offered to make her bouquet.
I was inspired by the things she loves and the wedding location to make this shabby chic beach themed bouquet.
This bouquet really took some work but it was so worth it.
All the flowers are completely handmade with real shells and vintage style brooches to give it that real shabby chic look.

The burlap roses were made using Prima's Burlap sheets, the carnations were made with torn strips of chiffon and the teal roses were made with satin ribbon. I had some tiny shells in my stash and these fitted in perfectly with a few pearls here and there.

I hope I have inspired you to try something a little different

Happy scrapping

Mixed Media Canvas *Class at The Scrap Cottage*

Hi again
I am here to share another class I have created for The Scrap Cottage, this time I have made a mixed media canvas with a feminine or masculine version to choose from. I really do love getting messy with mixed media and these canvases were so much fun to create :)

For the masculine version I have used a Graphic 45 Steampunk Spells paper layered with tissue paper, Liquitex sand medium mixed with black gesso, Prima stencil and trinkets, Twiddleybitz chippy cogs, Stampendous embossing powder, Tim Holtz tiny gears and distress paint along with Kaisercraft blooms.

and for the feminine version a Prima Fairy Rhymes paper layered with tissue paper, Liquitex modeling paste, Prima stencil and trinkets, Twiddleybitz chippy cogs, Stampendous embossing powder, Tim Holtz tiny gears, gesso and Kaisercraft blooms.

Until next time Happy Scrappin
